Highland Coffee C&I Rooftop Solar Power Plant Using Solis inverters

Jan 12th, Ningbo, China-Highland Coffee’s 1MW C&I rooftop power plant was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

Located in Chu Se District, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, the project takes advantage of the colour of the steel tile rooftop of Highland Coffee’s Factory and occupies an area of approximately 10, 000 m2. The project was contracted by Vietnam EPC-SVN and uses the 425W RECOM solar modules. The inverter supplier is Solis, whose Single-phase string inverters rank 2nd and Three-phase string inverters rank 4th in global market shares.

This project used 8 Solis-110K-5G with a designed operating life of 25 years. After the project is put into operation, the first-year generating capacity is estimated to be 6.6GWh. The tax-inclusive electricity price of 1943 VND/kWh and the government has given subsidies for 20 years, which can quickly recoup the cost of investment. Compared with coal-fired power plants, the Highland Coffee project is expected to save a total of 1,000t of standard coal in 25 years and reduce emissions of various air pollutants annually.

This project is the first collaboration between Solis and the coffee industry. Solis has also tailored system solutions for schools, C&I buildings, farms, gas stations in Vietnam.
